I’m an atheist, so obviously I don’t think that this intelligent design thing holds any water. However, a Christian friend of mine told me that he couldn’t understand the whole evolution row. Why, he asked me, couldn’t God use evolution to bring the world as we now know it into existence? Why doesn’t it have to be either/or? It can be both!

Luckily I live in a society where the right to hold one’s beliefs – even if some are diametrically opposed to others – is as important as the beliefs themselves.
